Whisky On The Rock

Whisky On The Rocks
That day was my time of the month, looking back now
Getting bruised isn’t always a bad thing, you know
You can’t escape the weight of time, it’s true
Feeling lost in the moment is even harder to do
On that rainy evening, I was at a café
In a winter sweater, by the window, a black stray cat
The chill of the night, too much to bear
And so, time kept passing by
Beautiful things
Joyful moments
They're all just greed, you see
It's just that living alone
Is a story told out of fear
Dreams filled with ice
Are slowly melting away
Whisky on the rocks, swirling around
A stranger's gaze caught mine, a pull in the air
That playful smile, clothes all askew
My eyes squinted, my heart, I can’t even tell
Had to cool it down with that icy chill
Beautiful things
Joyful moments
They're all just greed, you see
It's just that living alone
Is a story told out of fear
Dreams filled with ice
Are slowly melting away
Whisky on the rocks, swirling around
Beautiful things
Joyful moments
They're all just greed, you see
It's just that living alone
Is a story told out of fear
Dreams filled with ice
Are slowly melting away
Whisky on the rocks, swirling around
