The blessed day that we see here now
From heaven has come down to us
He'll be with us, He'll show Himself
To bring us all joy and grace
Yes, the Lord Almighty keeps us today
From sins and sorrows, He'll protect us
The blessed day, the blessed time
Each morning I should reflect
When the sun of grace, so lovely and bright
Rises up for the world to shine
And the shepherds heard God's angels in the sky
Singing that the day had arrived.
But like a bird soaring high in the sky
On carefree wings it takes flight
It praises its God, feeling happy and free
As it glides over the earth
So the soul lifts in heartfelt joy
To heaven with songs and prayers.
