Krasny Bor
Krasny Bor 1943
Krasny Bor
It was my land, my beloved country,
I fought for it since I was born,
a nation that should never die,
I raised my arm, I took my rifle.
I remember my parents seeing me leave,
in their faces I saw that I was going to die.
I remember that train traveling north,
snowy mountains on the horizon.
I remember the marches on snowy ground,
sacred flags waving in the wind.
I remember enemies in waves,
their faces of hatred were extinguished.
I remember my brother in the division,
killing and dying for the nation.
I remember war songs in battle,
the sons of the Sun no one silences.
I remember that boy running towards the tank,
saving our lives and flying through the air.
I remember that young man carrying my body,
hearing the bullets whistle in the wind.
I remember my friend mortally wounded,
in the trenches resisting forever.
I remember the blood running on my forehead,
I remember death coming from the east.
I remember that bullet in my heart,
I remember that I fell in KRASNY BOR.
