Malinconica
Marlene Kuntz
Melancholic
I saw you again, you know?
Sitting in that café...
Yesterday I was passing by
lost in my thoughts
and a useless friend
called me for a drink:
"well" I said "ok",
and he with a friendly manner
down with a hundred "how are you?
What are you doing and what you're not doing?".
I didn't hear. I didn't speak.
I was looking at you.
And wonderfully a moment invaded the time.
And magnificently that gesture took the stage
and you kidnapped me.
And I saw you again, you know?,
because I saw another "me",
the one who was sitting there
six years ago;
and you got up and
slipped softly
among the objects and
the unaware people.
And wonderfully a moment invaded the time.
And magnificently that gesture took the stage
and you kidnapped me
velvety nostalgia,
silky melancholy.
