Almost Killed Her
ALMOST KILLED HER
I arrived at my house like the angel I was waiting for.
I took care of her without caring what they would say.
She told me I was the man she desired.
That beside me, her reason had a tomorrow.
I gave her my heart, my being, my years.
And we united by the most sacred bond.
Everything was fine and in her attitude nothing strange.
We were happy until the day of her betrayal.
Almost killed her, Mr. Judge,
I don't regret it, it's the truth.
I know you will understand,
about swearing on the Bible,
how one can forgive
someone who betrays in such an unnatural way.
I found my own brother in her arms.
You can't imagine what a bitter pill that was.
If it had been someone else, maybe it wouldn't matter.
I didn't understand that irony of life.
I shot her without caring if she died.
I almost killed her and a hundred thousand times more I would,
if she took away the most precious thing I had.
I felt powerless, I couldn't believe what I saw.
If I go free, I swear I would kill her.
And tell me, Mr. Judge,
what would you do too,
seeing your life fading away like that.
Oh, that's why, Mr. Judge,
if I go free,
I swear this time I will kill her.
I swear this time I will kill her.
