Neighborhood - The Pandora Box
J.Valverde / S.Contreras / T.Barranco
Once again winter has arrived in our neighborhood
Covering it with a sad and bitter gray
The trees shed their leaves on the ground
Passions that summer left behind are running out
And once again we have to listen, to the whistle made
By the wind hitting a balcony
The sound of rain falling on cardboard
Night falls again on the neighborhood
And the puddles darken like the sky
Dew already covers what it holds inside
Rusting memories within its heart
The dark cloak of night resting on its head
Only the silence of its wake is heard
Nostalgia envelops me, for the years I've spent
In the shelter of my neighborhood, the calendar doesn't forgive
And I fondly remember those snowfalls
And the surprised children
The aroma of those days, in a child's mind
Nostalgia envelops me, for the years I've spent
In the shelter of my neighborhood, they've been stored in the closet
And in my chest there's a sigh, knowing that all that
Has been forgotten, lost in memory
In the mind of the child
How many times have I played on the swings in my neighborhood
How many times have I sat on those benches
