Dog face keeps watch from his balcony
over all the folks passing through the alleyway.
I’m not talking about the Pope, and it ain't the president,
Dog face is the neighbor across the street.

Dog face could be a man or a woman,
keeping an eye on everyone is their reason to be.
Dog face is a wannabe cop,
And usually, they’re a self-righteous voter.

The miserable gets a kick when someone’s down,
Dog face is a product of society.
In their own way, they give their time to others,
And that’s the only way they can lift their heart.
