A Cada Paso
La Quinta Estación
With Every Step
What bad luck, it’s raining again, clouding my mind,
The smoke from the coffee, and I’m back to walking on wet ground,
While the rain has washed away my footprints
I keep looking down just like yesterday,
I don’t quite know what it is, but I’ve lost something,
What’s for sure is that it’s not here,
Maybe tomorrow I’ll keep searching for it.
And with every step I take, I’m leaving something behind,
And with every step I take, the tunnel gets longer,
With every step I take, I keep running into ghosts from the past,
They ask me, "What are you doing here?",
"What are you looking for?"
Time is following me again,
I don’t know why, maybe I owe it something,
But the truth is, I don’t know what it is,
And if I once did, I’ve totally forgotten.
And with every step I take, I’m leaving something behind,
And with every step I take, the tunnel gets longer,
With every step I take, I keep running into ghosts from the past,
They ask me, "What are you doing here?",
"What are you looking for?"
Today I’m lost again on the asphalt
While the rain has washed away my footprints
Today I’m back to walking on wet ground,
And I don’t know what it is, but I’ve lost something,
And I don’t know what it is, but I’ve lost something…
And with every step I take, I’m leaving something behind,
And with every step I take, the tunnel gets longer,
With every step I take, I keep running into ghosts from the past,
They ask me, "What are you doing here?",
"What are you looking for?"
