Guardian
Sentinel of the nights, they call me the guardian
My duty is to watch the cars in a residential neighborhood;
I witness indecencies
In a very casual way
The guardian of confidences,
Nocturnal therapist.
Because I am the guardian,
I don't just blow whistles, I am much more!
I go on the internet, surf the web,
I like poetry,
Beethoven too.
Guardian, I'm the man, the man, the man!
Guardian, I'm the man, the man, the man!
Certain things sadden me and others make me happy,
Some die, others are born,
Others come and go;
I see the kids who have grown up and succeeded in life
They are a hope,
My salvation.
Because I am the guardian,
I don't just blow whistles, I am much more!
I go on the internet, surf the web,
I like poetry,
Beethoven too.
Guardian, I'm the man, the man, the man!
Guardian, I'm the man, the man, the man!
And despite everything,
There are mean people who don't value the work of the guardian,
And they pay me what they think is fair
Even my dogs have had better luck than me!
Because I am the guardian
I don't just blow whistles, I am much more!
