Im Schatten Der Sonne
Lacrimosa
In the Shadow of the Sun
Sometimes I can hardly believe
That God loves all people
All the suffering we inflict on ourselves
Disregarding life as living beings
No person, whether black or white
Whether man or woman, whether poor or rich, whether sick or foreign
No person is worth more, no person is worse
No person should suffer under another person
Here I stand between good and evil
Humanity in its purest form
Here I stand at the crossroads and
I can't decide if I want to give or take
Do I want to laugh or scream
Do I want to live or bleed
We are humanity's humanity
Yet man is man's best friend
We are unique
We can love, lie, dream, hate
Hope and yet we only stand in the shadow of the sun
And take more of ourselves, uneven, unique
Is man perfect, imperfect, unteachable, indestructible?
And completely selfless actually behind the light?
