Camino de Santiago
Lady Hagua
Way of St. James
Today I am making my way
To feed my soul
My body is already fed
With what they bring me
The stones give me solace
The green gives me peace
Trees that connect me
With lights from beyond
My sandals have worn out
And my feet are blistered
But I keep walking
Until I reach the altar
Through the Roman roads
Flowers grow early
And over rushing rivers
There are majestic bridges
Santiago de Compostela
Is an enchanted place
They say that's how they called you
Hopeful Christians
Saint I make you Santiago
With your horse and your sword
You faced the enemy
And won the battles
And life took a turn for you
Changing your destiny
Filling your heart
With these green paths
Goodbye Finisterre goodbye
Goodbye crosses of the way
I sing through the world
Towards my new destination
My soul and legs hurt
My back is broken
And now I live in hope
And in shared life
History as it is
Gives us sorrow gives us glory
As they tell the battles
As they tell the victories
The air smells of incense
Of octopus and also wine
It has been worth it
To reach this destination
With the staff and the shell
Dressed as a pilgrim
And today I walk in freedom
Leaving my footprints on the way
