Ríos De La Soledad
Lament
Rivers of Solitude
As the waters leave the sea
And the river runs dry
So the man lies down and does not rise again
But the numbered years will come
And I will go on the path from where I will not return
My breath is running out, my days are shortened
And the grave is prepared for me
Despite no wickedness in my hands
And my prayer being pure
My eyes darkened with pain
Before God, I will shed my tears
For the Lord is just
And his love cannot be mocked
His hand punishes sin
When his love is forgotten
God, what is man
That you give him your love?
If evil existed in me
Woe is me
If I were righteous
I will not boast
In my being, I will see you
In my being, I will feel you
Even though my heart fails
Within me
And my soul is sad
