The Beach House
On the deserted beach
Shells and crustaceans
Who would have thought mourn the loss of summer
That has since gone away
We packed up the vacation
In cardboard suitcases
And it’s sad when you think of the season
Of sunshine and songs
Yet I know well next year
Everything will bloom again, we’ll return
But in the meantime, I’m feeling blue
Leaving the sea and my home
The mistral will get used to
Running without the sailboats
And it’s in my messy hair
That I’ll miss it the most
The sun, my great buddy
Will only burn me from afar
Thinking we’re a bit mad at each other
For being so far apart
The train will take me to autumn
Back to the city in the rain
My sorrow won’t be for anyone
I’ll keep it like a friend
But on the first days of summer
All the troubles forgotten
We’ll come back to party with the crustaceans
On the sunny beach
On the sunny beach
On the sunny beach
