Je Pense
Laurie Darmon
I Think
I think you have to think to move forward
Thinking during the day, thinking at night
Thinking a little, a few thoughts to move forward
I think you have to love to move forward
Love to live, become drunk
Love without anything, without a shield to move forward
I think you have to build to move forward
Taste the worst to flourish
A big ship that capsizes to move forward
I think you have to leave to move forward
Take a detour, become deaf
A blind date to move forward
So I think, I leave, I lose
I lose my bearings
A storm, a desert
The lightning, the thunder, and me, I despair
So I turn, I hit, I fall
I fall asleep
A ray of sunshine brightens me up
The landscape with soft crimson reflections
And I think you have to believe to move forward
Set a lighthouse ivory color
Always want to keep hope to move forward
I think you have to create to move forward
Paint at your leisure, write your tears
Sing your fears and sorrows to move forward
I think you have to shift to move forward
Look differently, stop for a moment
Take the time to get bored to move forward
I think you have to unite to move forward
Take the heart, twist the fear
Walk together when the night trembles to move forward
So I think, I leave, I lose
I lose my bearings
A storm in the desert
The lightning, the thunder, and me, I despair
So I turn, I hit, I fall
I fall asleep
A ray of sunshine brightens me up
The landscape with soft crimson reflections
Take the time to write these few lines
I had to breathe, I had to bow
In this fiery setting, I only have my eyes
To contemplate the view, unknown land
Take the time to be silent, listen to the air
Infuse the summer evenings, the winter days
Watch the silent and beautiful life
Like a fire soaring into the sky
