The church prayed united, all with the same vision
Miracles were seen in any gathering
But furious Herod began to persecute
He killed James with a sword to make them give up

He ordered to arrest brother Peter and locked him in prison
Watched by soldiers with chains on their hands
But in the house of Mary, mother of our brother John
A noise was heard, it was the people in prayer

Suddenly an angel descends and enters that place
Peter was sleeping without a care
And then the angel touches him and says
Peter, get up now, I came to take you out of here

The chains broke and fell to the ground
Paths opened, God extended His hands
The soldiers guarding him could do nothing
Even the iron gate could not resist the power

Then the angel guides him through the streets without stopping
To the house of sister Mary, he brought brother Peter
When he knocked on the door, Rhoda came to answer
They quickly informed the people and some could not believe

When they reached the door, there was great emotion
Brother Peter was free, it was the answer to prayer
The joy was immense, the miracle happened
The church prayed with faith and God answered from heaven

That's how it happens when the church is in prayer
Just kneel down and God takes action
Nothing can resist a faithful people
Though ten thousand fall at your right hand, you will remain standing

Closed doors open, walls come down
The giant falls to the ground and the lion becomes gentle
No harm will touch him, he is protected
And whoever tries to harm him will have to deal with Jehovah

That's why I pray, I cry at the feet of the Lord
I know He listens to me and answers my plea
Nothing else worries me, I can trust in Him
If I am protected by Him, I know I can rest
