In this green country we live in
Today, unfortunately, we see misery in various places because of man
If we stop to think
It's hard to believe that in this land of such abundance millions go hungry
In this land of silver and gold, filled with so much treasure
It's hard to hear the news and not cry
For men without mercy kill each other, hurt each other, harm each other, mistreat each other
We need to paint a different picture, we need to change
My country, I wish to see you without malice, without violence
My country, I wish men used their conscience more
But I know it's impossible for man to have peace without letting God reign
We need to seek the Light, embrace the Man of the Cross, we need to hold the Love of Jesus in our hearts
