Uma Carta Ao Pastor

A Letter to the Pastor
I know that in the country we live in
There are many mistreated children who have nowhere to live
I also know that most of them do not know the word of God
One day, one of these children, passing by a Church
Heard the pastor preaching and saying
I know someone who can change your life!
That humble child, thirsty for love and thirsty for God
Did not enter that Church, but outside wrote a letter to the Pastor
Pastor, I am writing this letter
Do not mind my handwriting
I am learning to write
I want to tell you about my life
A life so full of suffering
I want to hide nothing
I live, I live out there alone
I have no home or shelter
No definite place to sleep
I cry because my mother died
And my father forgot me
Right when I was born
Today I feel hungry, I feel cold
I feel fear and shivers
I am alone with no one
I speak, I speak with sincerity
My greatest desire
Is to be loved by someone
I am a child abandoned and mistreated by the world
What I do not want is to kill, steal, or be a bum
I need affection and love to be happy
I am pursued by adult criminals
Drug dealers
And that's why I wrote to you, pastor, I want a chance
Pray for God to use someone to take me off the streets
I am a child abandoned and mistreated by the world
What I do not want is to kill, steal, or be a bum
I need affection and love to be happy
I am pursued by criminals, adults, drug dealers
And that's why I wrote to you, pastor, I want a chance
Pray for God to use someone to take me off the streets
Signed, street boy
