I've asked God for so many things that I didn't receive
I've cried out for miracles that I've never seen
I've seen many doors close in front of me
And heard God say wait when I wanted to move forward

I've embraced promises that were invisible
And then I discovered that faith is believing in what doesn't exist
And now regardless of what God will do
I choose to trust even without understanding

I don't know if He will do what I asked
If He will answer me or just listen
Many things that God does I can't understand
I just know it's better when I let Him do

What He does now I can't understand
And I don't despair because I've learned to believe
That the future always explains what it did in the past
What I do is trust in what God does
And it's all good, it's all good

I've seen promises from '95
Being fulfilled only in 2010
And I've seen that it may delay but it doesn't fail
God's words are faithful

I've seen God performing miracles I didn't expect
And giving me a blessing greater than what I desired
In my youth, I saw God fulfilling my childhood dreams
And I discovered that He cares even about a child's dreams

I don't know if He will do what I asked
