Águas Passadas
Leni Silva
Bygones
One day I went through a great trial
I cried a lot for my disillusionment
My days passed in a valley of pains
Where the birds didn't sing and there were no flowers
The wind blew, it rained outside
My soul cried in cruel agony
The dark night descended upon me
A night of bitterness that I thought would never end
Bygones don't move the mill
In my footsteps, there are no more thorns
I was renewed in my soul, there is peace
Jesus comes with me and the sad danger
Is left behind
Sometimes I need to think a little
That the beautiful roses produce thorns
But they give off fragrance and also adorn
Likewise are the trials that come upon me
The many tears I shed one day
Turned into stones and I collected them
In precious stones of rare value
That now adorn my path of love
