Empresário e o Pecuarista

The Businessman and the Rancher
In the city of São Paulo where I stayed for a while
On a family trip I took to another state
At the corner of the hotel was a famous dive
I stumbled down, my hat all dusty
Just wanted a drink 'cause I was feeling pissed off
I walked into that fancy joint
Everyone staring at me, thinking I looked weird
I felt out of place, this ain't my scene
Still, I sat at a table and whistled for the waiter
Bring a bucket of beer and a bottle of whiskey
Suddenly a guy with some serious nerve
In a fancy suit, and it wasn't even a wedding
Told me this place is way out of my budget
How you gonna pay for all that you're drinking?
You want to wash dishes, or you gonna leave owing?
I'm a big-time businessman in this major city
Living in a high-rise, top social class
Got a son who's a lawyer at a multinational
And a daughter who's a doctor at a big hospital
And if I talk about money, it'll make you feel small
I shot back at the businessman and said, my friend
You’ll hit a barbed wire if the talk is about cash
Just one of my farms could buy your whole building
And a few head of cattle could get your red car
I’m not one to brag, but this time I had to show it
My kids are educated from that daily grind
If I stop working, I’ll leave a bunch of slackers
The beef you eat came from my backyard
And if you want to know who’s talking to you
Just come to Londrina and ask: About the ranching kids!
