La Colina de La Vida
León Gieco
The Hill of Life
Almost nothing seems fleeting to me
Everything depends on my dreams
And fits on my back
And so I climb the hill of life very calmly
I never believe in the top or in glory
That's a big ghost
Created by past generations
Stuck on the path of life
Reality sleeps alone in a burial
And walks sadly through the dream of the kindest
Reality dances alone in the lie
And in a pocket it holds love and joys
A god of fantasies
War and poetry
I have everything to see and believe
To ignore or not believe
And many times I find myself lonely
Crying on the threshold of life
I try to find my footing in an upside-down world
I look for a good friend
So that one day I won't be caught
Fearing to find life dead
Reality sleeps alone in a burial
And walks sadly through the dream of the kindest
Reality dances alone in the lie
And in a pocket it holds love and joys
A god of fantasies
War and poetry
