Isaías 53 (Intro "Gestsêmani")
Leonardo Gonçalves
Isaiah 53 (Intro 'Gethsemane')
He was despised and the most rejected among men
Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief
And like one from whom men hide their faces
He was despised, and we did not esteem him
Surely, he has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows
And we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted
But he was pierced for our transgressions
And crushed for our iniquities
The punishment that brought us peace was upon him
And by his wounds we are healed
May we gaze upon the Cross of Christ
To find in it the salvation we so desperately need
