Mãe, Um Pedaço de Céu
Leonardo Sullivan
Mother, A Piece of Heaven
To me I am big, but to her, tiny
I am an adult, but to her I am a child
When she looks at me, her eyes shine
A love made of dreams, joy, and hope
When I am with her, I am a child
The world is much more beautiful, without sin and without danger
And no one in the world will like me
As she does
Whether I am right or wrong, it doesn't matter
In joy or in sadness, she is always with me
In moments of pleasure, I remember her
But in moments of sadness and longing, she is my shelter
She doesn't measure sacrifices for me
It may seem difficult for someone to love like this
The thing is, she is my mother
And a mother is always like that
Mother, a word that God invented
An angel that arrived on Earth
Flying on the wings of love
Mother, a word sweeter than honey
Perhaps a piece of heaven
That God turned into a woman
Whether I am right or wrong, it doesn't matter
In joy or in sadness, she is always with me
In moments of pleasure, I remember her
But in moments of sadness and longing, she is my shelter
She doesn't measure sacrifices for me
It may seem difficult for someone to love like this
The thing is, she is my mother
And a mother is always like that
Mother, a word that God invented
An angel that arrived on Earth
Flying on the wings of love
Mother, a word sweeter than honey
Perhaps a piece of heaven
That God turned into a woman
Mother, a word that God invented
An angel that arrived on Earth
Flying on the wings of love
Mother, a word sweeter than honey
Perhaps a piece of heaven
That God turned into a woman
