Obsesión

Today wasn’t easy
inspiration didn’t show up
that pill isn’t working
like the doctor said it would

The early morning hit me
with no new day to start
if the night doesn’t end
my head’s gonna explode

If you see me through the window
don’t come looking for me
when she’s not around
I can’t breathe anymore
I’m not asking for your understanding
I don’t expect compassion
I just want her back
to cure this obsession

Today’s one of those days
when I don’t even know what to say
I’m out of words
though I’ve already written that

As long as I have hope
that she’ll call me again
I’ll stay on the ledge
where I can wait the most

and the sound of her voice
