I Can't Live Tied Down

Daniel Rabinovich: Good evening, dear friends... and buddies. When you're a popular singer, internationally famous, like me... a dazzling idol, you know... maybe the hardest part is staying humble. And it's inevitable that newspapers and magazines will echo my romances, my wild adventures... that sparks a lot of jealousy. Those who don’t know me are out there saying I’m a fool, an idiot, haha, just imagine what those who do know me say. I’m a charmer, a rogue, a drifter; and that’s why I don’t put down roots anywhere, as I say in that beautiful song... that belongs to me:

No woman
can keep me by her side
what can I do?
I can't live tied down,
I can't live tied down.

Daniel Rabinovich: I can't live tied down, my dears. In the mornings, when I look in the mirror... for two or three hours... I wonder: what do I have that sparks so much admiration?; I know I just have a bit of natural charm, a gifted voice, a captivating personality, good looks... After all, I’m just a human like anyone else, flesh and blood... but what flesh!, what bones!, what neurons!... Honestly, I ask myself daily what I have that drives women, and some men... crazy... in, in the women... This mischievous and playful heart of mine is to blame, as I say in that beautiful song, dedicated to my heart... that belongs to me:

Its fiery and playful boast,
my heart can’t explain:
fiery because it burns,
playful... because it pokes.

Daniel Rabinovich: Thank you so much. As I said before, I’m a drifter, a rogue, very roguish, as I say in that beautiful song:

Daniel Rabinovich: I’m a rogue
Chorus: Oh oh oh
Daniel Rabinovich: how roguish I am.
I’ve always been a rogue
Chorus: Oops oops oops
Daniel Rabinovich: how roguish I was.

Daniel Rabinovich: It’s sensational. I spent several months thinking about the lyrics to this song... and a couple of years until I wrote it... without any typos... It’s really a tasty lyric, I’ve received several records back from... the record store. But just like I have one heart and one neuron, they belong only to one woman, and on this special night, for all of you, who have the immense joy of being here... with me; to that woman, I want to dedicate this beautiful song that just so happens, also belongs to me:
Daniel Rabinovich: I love her, I love her...
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: I’m in love...
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: She’s my passion, my life, my light, my golden dream
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: I love her, I love her...
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: She has me trapped...
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: She’s been faithful, completely faithful, and has never deceived me...
Chorus: (whistling)

Daniel Rabinovich: What’s going on?... what’s going on, why aren’t you singing?... I love her, I love her, yes, yes, it’s true... We’ve been rehearsing all afternoon... what’s going on, why aren’t you singing?... but, what’s going on?
Carlos López Puccio: That thing with Roberto happened
Daniel Rabinovich: With Roberto, they were just good friends
Carlos Núñez Cortés: Yeah, but they had a kid...
Daniel Rabinovich: It must have been an accident, anyone can have a kid slip away, it can happen.
Jorge Maronna: And what about what happened with Felipe?
Daniel Rabinovich: With Felipe, they had a professional relationship.
Carlos López Puccio: Yeah, professional, Felipe was paying her

Daniel Rabinovich: I love her, I love her...
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: Well, she’s delightful...
Chorus: Yes, it’s true
Daniel Rabinovich: She’s always been tender and delicate with me, sweet and affectionate...
Chorus: Ha, ha, ha, ha!

Daniel Rabinovich: Ah, you must be thinking about that time she got mad at me and called me a fool...
Carlos López Puccio: No, we were thinking about the arsenic in the soup.
Carlos Núñez Cortés: And that time she tried to run you over with the car
Daniel Rabinovich: She was learning to drive.
Jorge Maronna: Yeah, that’s why she couldn’t run him over
Carlos Núñez Cortés: ...and remember that time she left you tied to the bedpost?
Chorus: Ha, ha, ha, ha!
Daniel Rabinovich: Well, enough! That’s why I had to leave her; as I said in that beautiful song... that belongs to me:
