Glory was dressed in tulle
With a distant and blue gaze
Smiling in a shop window
With a small and garnet mouth

And some fake patent leather shoes
That sparkled in the sun
Clean and pretty, always in fashion
All dressed up as if going to a wedding
And I would go see her all the time
Because I loved that woman
Made of cardboard
From Saint Stephen to Christmas
Between sales and novelties
Made my sidewalk more tender
Aaaaaaaaaaaahh...

She wasn't like those April dolls
That scratched me head-on and sideways
That sent innocence to hell!!
That ripped out my illusion completely

No, she waited in her display case
To see me turn that corner
Like a bride
Like a medieval maiden
Begging me to set her free
Let's run away and write our story

With a stone, I broke the glass
And ran, ran with her to my doorstep
Her whole body trembled in my arms
The May moon smiled at us

Under the rain, we danced a waltz
One, two, three, one, two, three, nothing else mattered

And I talked to her about our future
And she cried silently, I swear!!!

And between four walls and a ceiling
She burst against her chest
Sorrow after sorrow

I held the universe in my hands
And we turned the past into a verse
Lost within a poem

And go out to marches and demonstrations against dictatorships and oppressors
That's why I like being among so many damn crazy assholes!
I like being with crazies because they really get me
I really don't give a damn about overly sane guys, the sane ones
Those who say why bother doing such a thing if everything is already lost
They can go to hell, those motherf***ers!!!
