Jerusalém e Eu

In that crowd only He had the cross
In order to forgive my sin
And I was not able to defend His pain
Knowing that He did everything out of love
The terrible evil upon Himself, Jesus bore
Made a huge difference to the world
I remember His gaze towards me
Pleading to the Father for forgiveness for Jerusalem

I don't want to make mistakes again
And despite my errors, He renewed the covenant that I broke
My sin was left on the cross when my Jesus resurrected
My life began again

Oh My Lord, Jerusalem hurt You
Lord, but I also denied You
At times I wanted to pretend, saying I had You in me
But deep down I was Jerusalem
But Jerusalem received another chance!
