When the corn was made of corn
we harvested it, ate it and planted it,
we shelled it in a flash
and ground it in a slip
its roots were noticeable
and we exported it all the way to Paris.

The popcorn was made of corn
and humans had roots,
today they are transgenic, genetic, cloned,
biotechnological, modified.
Today they are parasites, improved monsters,
contaminated pharming.
There is no more corn
there is no corn
our root is gone.
There is no more corn
not even corn dove
and the bald one burdens us.
Our seeds rot, dry up,
and grow old before they are born.
Our families complain, move away,
they can't grow on the pavement.
