Gracias Mi Cristo

I thought my life was a bed of roses
I dreamed, of course, of being a happy man
But I think I was wrong and couldn't achieve to fly
Like a soldier, I battled, the captain of my life
I lived yearning for that love that one day I idealized
But I chose my big mistake, I couldn't make it happen
From failure to failure, I was sinking more each day
I had no hope in my lord, they didn't come true

I understand that good intentions are useless to me
You don't live on just illusions, they're not just words
Someone came into my life one day with a lot of love
Saying that in God there is salvation and forgiveness
That Jesus Christ died for me on a cross
And he's waiting for me to give him my heart

Today I know true love, which is my Jesus
He who gave himself for me on the cross
He redeemed me and showed his endless love for me
He forgave me and made me feel his love
Today I walk happily with Christ, freed from my past oh oh
Right now I pass happily and live thanks to my lord

I didn't think that in my life there was only bitterness
It didn't cross my mind that I was wrong
Now I know that I wasted my life and didn't appreciate it

Today I'm not the same as yesterday because my Christ changed me
Now I enjoy his love, his peace in my heart
Today I walk with Christ hand in hand, I consider myself happy

No more struggles or sorrows in the soul, I live good moments
Only Christ has been able to fill the void I had

Someone came into my life one day with a lot of love
