Dear Caju
Good morning

I’m writing this letter in the first person
To exercise seeing myself like this, free
On this long road, to a destination I still don’t know how it’ll be
But I believe it wholeheartedly
Because now I’ve learned to walk after standing up
I write this and remember that scene from my favorite movie, Kill Bill
When Beatrix Kiddo spends hours after the coma
Trying to move her fingers, lying in the back of the car
Today I learned to run
And that’s why I woke up and wanted to get on a bus heading to the future
And I plan to spend the day observing myself, attentive
And I ask, deep in my thoughts
I hope today is a sunny day
And if there’s fog, may I be an inner sun

With my eyes wide open, I watch the movement on the road
And think about my journey up to now
About the countless things my eyes have seen
And I realize I’m a big collector of good memories
Of course, within those memories, there are also mistakes
The slips, some falls, cliffs
But it’s amazing that even with these declines
I still remember how to fly

Now, with my earbuds snug in place
I know I want a dancing day after going through this state
Where my body feels down, where I naturally get moody
And I dodge anything that crosses my path
Choosing to live with the bitterness, enough
I really promised to be the sun today
Since the moment I got on this bus
I see the train passing by the window
And I think sometimes you need someone, a mirrored movement of your own
To help you find another meaning for Sundays
When the clock strikes one
It feels like the day will be a big mess, a tangle
A fleeting thing
If I could, today I’d make it an eternal day
A nighttime mast, a bonfire that doesn’t waver in the water
An eclipse of stars
If I could, today would be disruptive to everything logical
I smile imagining myself like this, with my ride on the road

You need to be the aftertaste in the mouth
And be eternal in some memory
