Amanecer de una flor
Liuba Maria Hevia
Dawn of a flower
In the school garden
a flower always blooms
embroidered with the dew
that the night left behind.
When I sit in the classroom
to study with love
she keeps her secrets
in the pockets of the sun.
And when I return home
I wish to take her scent with me
but I must not pluck her
because it causes her pain.
And if I come back tomorrow
and she's not in the garden
I know she's combing her hair
to go out again.
