Ausencia
Liuba Maria Hevia
Absence
There are absences
that are like oblivion
that dust off early mornings and seeds
that were lost to those seas
where they will never find the shore.
There are absences that brush with dawn
jealous butterflies of space
austere prisoners of flowers
that offer you their honey for your lips.
Absence remote phantom
that violates the doors that sings
that shouts to the sky that voice
that you have taken with you
that you write the missing song
that always reminds us of the distance.
There are absences
gulls that save you
that disdain borders and seasons
that roam the walls, the words
drawing faith with their crayons.
There are absences
that speak to you of a tomorrow
that turn into all colors
that place the world in your window
and fill the balconies with hope.
