Ministration of the Cross

It was there on the cross
It was there on the cross
That you proved your love for me, Jesus
It was there on the cross
It was there on the cross
That you proved your love for me, Jesus

When Jesus walked towards the place where He would be crucified
He carried our cross, but on the way God the Father
Granted Jesus a moment of relief, a moment of refreshment
Choosing a man to help Him with the cross
Beloved, when God chooses someone
He chooses that someone, yes to be a participant of His glory
But not before being a participant of His cross

The Bible shows us that no one volunteered
To carry Jesus' cross, no one
Perhaps paralyzed by fear, fear of the Romans, fear of the people
Or even fear of pain, but God in His sovereignty and grace
Chose Simon, and today He continues to choose, today the unchanging God
Continues to choose, men and women to fulfill their callings

He chose me and surely chose you
God chose you to be a participant of His glory
God chose you to be a participant of His honor
Strength, eternity, yet all through the cross
I invite you to go back in time, go back to the day of the Lord's crucifixion

See and hear:
Who will carry my cross with me?
Who will walk with me on this path?
Who will follow me?
Who will listen to me?
Where are those who say they love me?

Here I am
Here I am
I say yes!
Here I am
Here I am
I say yes!
I want to carry your cross.
I want to alleviate your pain
