If you say goodbye to me,
I want the day to be clean and clear,
so that no bird
breaks the harmony of its song.

May you have luck
and find what you have missed
in me.

If you say 'I want you',
may the sun make the day much longer,
and thus, steal
time from the time of a stopped clock.

May we be lucky,
may we find all that was missing
yesterday.

And so take all the fruit that the path
you slowly write for tomorrow can give you.
What will be missing tomorrow from the fruit of each step;
that's why, despite the fog, we must walk.

If you come with me,
don't ask for a flat path,
nor silver stars,
nor a tomorrow full of promises, just
a bit of luck,
and may life give us a very long path.
