Piratas

I've crafted a flag
that, like all, is meant to burn.
In colors black and blood red.
For the thrill of creating.

I've fantasized, you’ll see babe,
about a love just for you.
I shaped it into a poem
and forgot it, that’s just me.

I've infiltrated the pores of your skin,
ready to board,
and forever, our ship,
in the river of your blood flow.

"Am I a pirate babe, playing music?
Roadrunner, going over a hundred.
Or am I part of a world that, though forbidden,
you feel it pulsing on your skin?"

And it’s that time ages so quickly
and there’s still so much beauty to see
and the memory is so bitter
of what you never got to do.

And if you fall into the arms of someone tall and dark
and find yourself seduced forevermore
don't fear the darkness,
nor the shady glances
enjoying the shadows shouldn’t scare you.
