J'adore Venice
Loredana Bertè
I Love Venice
I Love Venice
On the third double whiskey
I almost shouted I love Venice
A glance from behind a shoulder, so
Never means no
I turned towards the darkness
Behind the glass, I guessed my home
But not even a reason
To leave
A silk stocking on the lampshade
I love Venice
A slow music lifts you up
And you live a little more
Right at the foot of the bed
A newspaper, the Algerian issue
But not even a reason that I remember
To leave
And three bottles in a row
And then four and the laughter
What the hell was my name that night
I don't remember anymore
I felt it was ending and the day
I already had it on me
And I seemed like someone in another place
But I was still there
A man's reasons
Are not pretty to verify
The problem is to indulge a bit
In the best and a little more
He came to the window
I said to him, 'I think the darkness is leaving'
So calm and seated, it seemed like
I was still there.
