La Overa
Los Chalchaleros
The Overa
Late afternoon, I’m wandering
On my fine little horse
Dad’s saddles are ready
A post of the ñandubay
Close to midnight
A little tipsy, I’m feeling good
When I passed by your house
I was singing overito
Shaking it, I heard the ‘rispa
Echoing in the lagoon
And on my horse’s back
I was carrying the moon
And when I got to Salavina
We danced the chacarera
And we sang the castilla
Mixed in with The Overa
In the distance, I can see
A little house in the jumiales
And a white little flock
Crossing the salt flats
Going down a little path
I’m bringing the goats along
A little bell hanging
Chacarera’s ringing out
With my fine horse
I galloped through
Blanca Pozo, Rubia Paso
Colonia Dora and Mailín
