Misachico usually comes from afar.
It's the Sunday of the show.
The Virgin of the Valley dressed up.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The devotees kept arriving in heaps.

the grand procession must take place.
The little dark-skinned Virgin
offers her gift and blessing to all,
and a thousand handkerchiefs fluttering
say their goodbyes to her...

are waking up the whole city.
The girls pass by, all dressed up,
and the old ladies with their Rosary and shawl.
From Tinogasta and Andalgalá
to Valle Viejo, Chumbicha, and Belén,
with blankets, shawls, cigarettes,
and a vicuña poncho, the countryman comes to sell.
