¿ A Que Volver?
Los Chalchaleros
Why Return?
(Zamba)
The house is already another house,
the tree is no longer the same.
They have even knocked down the memory,
so why return?
My dog up there motionless
watching the afternoon grow.
And this emptiness of now,
so why return?
To return, for what?
To feel again,
that your absence runs wild,
asleep in my veins,
erased on my skin?
For your absence to hurt,
so why return?
My bridge, my old bridge.
What river will you see flow?
If they have taken it from Tilcara,
so why return?
The magic has already been lost,
who could light it up?
Not even the earth is earth anymore,
so why return?
