La Madriguera
Los Delinqüentes
The Burrow
Girl, what sadness is in your soul
what sorrow is screaming in your pupils
I would like to join you with a couple of staples
but you got tired of my shirt.
Since I am a rat to you
I go for the flowers of this lane
to fill my trunks with your papers
hearts of jasmine ink.
Because I had a burrow for both of us
with mattresses on the floor
with a faucet and a hose.
I would be poor if I had to keep quiet
that we both went hungry
eating each other every afternoon.
When I miss you, I crave you in bed
to have you for breakfast every morning
but seeing how things are going
it's better if I count my ticks.
And if one day a breeze comes
to guide me to your forest
I will fly with joy
I don't want the forest winds to come.
I had a burrow for both of us
with mattresses on the floor
with a faucet and a hose.
I would be poor if I had to keep quiet
that we both went hungry
eating each other every afternoon.
