La Brasita de Mi Chala
Los Hermanos Simon
The Embers of My Joint
When I leave the ranch, I always bring my guitar
The road doesn't feel as long when her voice accompanies me
Under a little tree, I rest from the day
After a taco and gin, I start smoking a joint
And before it gets dark, I prepare my little barbecue
I grab my guitar and sing a ballad slowly
Above, the Moon and stars; below, me and my guitar
They are fireflies that light up the embers of my joint
With every star I look at, I leave a sorrow hanging
That's why I don't like to dance on cloudy nights
No one remembers me and I don't worry about anyone
With my joint and my guitar, the road doesn't feel as long
At the pace of my horse, I keep gaining distances
Where the paths end, my hopes are reborn
Above, the Moon and stars; below, me and my guitar
They are fireflies that light up the embers of my joint
