Today I have come to confess with my lips
That I don't deserve everything you've given me
That I do not deserve to continue being your son
That my knees have become pride
And arrogance has ended in tears

Today I have come for you to judge my life
I am guilty and the pain hurts me
I was the one who opened the windows to the world
I was the one who strayed from your path
I have sinned and I have made myself a wound

And I came because someone told me
And he told me that there was a lawyer between you and me
Who defended any accusation with blood
And with that hope I have come before you

And now I invoke the name of that mediator
Let him defend my cause and plead with me before me
I say that I sinned but I already regretted it
And through him you can give me forgiveness

That was a moment of weakness
I am a Christian but flesh in the end
And there was something in me that didn't want to do it
But sin had more power
Temptation overcame me without further ado
I wanted to react but why?
The devil in his trap made me fall
And maybe I wanted to go back
But I want another chance

Maybe I wanted to hide that sin

Because I read in the Bible that you died for me
Please tell the Father to have mercy on me
And cleanse my life like that leper
That even my crying is over
I consciously made a mistake
I won't let him down again
