Manta de tres colores
Los Huasos Quincheros
Three-colored Blanket
I had a blanket woven,
my life of three colors,
black, red, and green,
the blanket of my loves.
How beautiful my blanket turned out,
with its vibrant colors,
black, red, and green
that were elusive to me.
The green was for your eyes,
green like the willow groves,
that pierced my chest,
like two green daggers.
The red was for your mouth,
hive of immense sweetness,
and the black was for your hair,
imprisoned in two braids,
imprisoned in two braids.
Music. (Guitar)
And crying for your forgetfulness,
my heart no longer sings,
to think that from your affection,
only my blanket remains.
That's why when I'm sad,
I send my song to the wind,
and my blanket goes with me,
pressed against my heart.
The green was for your eyes,
green like the willow groves,
that pierced my chest,
like two green daggers.
The red was for your mouth,
hive of immense sweetness,
and the black was for your hair,
imprisoned in two braids,
imprisoned in two braids.
