Verde Por Verde
Los Huracanes del Norte
Green for Green
I moved up to the mountains
Where no one would bother me
I loved the mountain range
In the state of Chihuahua
Out there where the Indians are
Pure Tarahumara blood
I started planting little plants
Out there among the tall pines
I raised a lot of little buds
And headed out to Nogales
At night we made the switch
They gave me several big bags
The bags were filled up
With nothing but green bills
I took them back to the mountains
Gave them to the Tarahumara
Those guys are all about action
They helped me get to work
I also bought some iron
Just for the thrill in Dumas
Remember that up in the mountains
There are plenty of wild beasts
Down below, a lot of snakes
To keep them from coming up
I carry my .45
With its special sights
That’s what keeps me company
When I head to Nogales
I also have an R15
To say hi to the feds
I’ve done business in Nogales
Piedras Negras and Agua Prieta
Now I’m saying goodbye
See you on the flip side
I’ll visit other borders
On the next harvest
