Ferrol
Los Limones
Ferrol
I live by the sea,
in a town where
losing is the norm,
those who could escape
swore never to return.
Today it started to rain,
and everything continues the same,
just as bad, just as good
and why, I'm not in a hurry,
I wasn't born to miss my train.
The high tides will carry
the dreams and reality,
it will be just another day,
simply another day.
The factory closed,
the machines stopped
the sweat dried.
Head held high
when one has courage,
to walk through life
like the best loser.
What matters today,
are the pockets of the pants
what's inside is taken,
either you have it or not.
The west coast will look
all life towards the sea,
here you will find me,
here I have my home.
I know I was born here
and here I want to stay
here is my home,
where the sea ends.
I follow a tradition,
customs that this time
my land taught me
to live with the mystery
of knowing if I'm coming or going
and although I'm clear about it
I only show indecision.
Confusion is not my flaw
and until today I surrender as
and when I want only me.
Now you know how I am,
where I left my heart
where my heart, where my heart.
I know I was born here
and here I want to stay
here is my home,
where the sea ends.
