De Nuevo Canta El Coyuyo
Los Manseros Santiagueños
The Coyote Sings Again
When the coyotes sing
Ripening the carob
Come find me, you said
At the foot of the green hill
The coyote died on the branch
Singing every day
And also died, like this, in my chest
My heart sighing
When I lay down in the field
I use the saddle as a pillow
And with tears in my eyes
I am surprised by the dawn
And so I fall asleep dreaming
Because I only think of her
I put aprons below
And cover myself with stars
Let me cry my sorrows
Because I have no comfort
Behind my ungrateful soul
I come from very far away
But if she had an owner
And I can't reach her
When the coyote sings
I will always wait for her
