Fiesta En Atamisqui
Los Manseros Santiagueños
Party in Atamisqui
Once in Atamisqui, they invited me to a party
I arrived, strummed and sang, and then we danced all afternoon
Folks from Salavina were surrounding the courtyard
Harp, box drum, bass drum, and violin playing for a while
Galloping on their horses, the folks from Loreto arrived
Bringing leg, screw, mistletoe, and cholla to their countrymen
And so the circle was formed, folks of all kinds
From here, from there, and from elsewhere, mixed in the revelry
From the spring, they came hitting a bass drum
To also join in the midst of the commotion
Old criollos from Sumampa also made themselves present
To sing at the gathering and entertain the people
The party was great, what fun countrymen!
Without resting and without sleeping, they danced for three days straight
And so the circle was formed, folks of all kinds
From here, from there, and from elsewhere, mixed in the revelry
