Qué Lindo Ser Santiagueño
Los Manseros Santiagueños
How Lovely It Is to Be from Santiago
How lovely it is to be from Santiago
Spending life singing
With mate, guitar, and wine, days go by playing
From the Carretero Bridge
Contemplating the sandy areas
And seeing the riverbed getting lost among the reeds
Getting into the green mountains and Crossing the salt flats
The scent of mint brings breezes in the afternoon
With verses of folk songs
I bring a tangled singing
That got stuck in my guitar for carnival time
And, When night falls
In Santiago del Estero
You can hear the echo of a verse from some old vineyard worker
How lovely it is to be from Santiago
Nicely burnt by the sun
Hard worker, more or less; for wine, a good drinker
Gazing at the stars from afar, I long for my homeland
And that flower I left from La Banda on the other side
With verses of folk songs
I bring a tangled singing
That got stuck in my guitar for carnival time
