Zamba Del Caminante

When I go further away
Looking for the trace I won't find
This beloved zamba
With its melody will accompany me

I'm a lost wanderer
Searching in the night of my solitude
For that star that used to light up
My night, my steps in the darkness

The sorrows of the wanderer will die someday
When my distant eyes
Spot the star that awaits me

And the comfort of this zamba
Helps me, inspires me to endure
That tremendous punishment
Of absence and not returning

That's why I follow the trace
That my eyes search for so eagerly
So that my soul may rest
My bloodshot eyes will no longer cry
