Confessions
What am I doing coming home?
It's the same old question
within these four walls
and that indecent bed
I lead a dog's life
but no one cares
my loneliness supports me
even when I make love alone
Looking at myself in the mirror
I have discovered a stranger
because in the end
I don't even know myself
I owe nothing to anyone
but I burden myself
with the meager ideals
that I haven't fulfilled by paying their dues
And so, in the meantime
I'll go, wandering
the empty streets
asking no one for what I already have
taking from the air what is necessary
drinking from the water all that I need
What am I doing coming home?
It's the same old question
within these four walls
and that indecent bed
I lead a dog's life
but no one cares
my loneliness supports me
even when I make love alone
And so, in the meantime
I'll go, wandering
the empty streets
asking no one for what I already have
taking from the air what is necessary
drinking from the water all that I need
asking no one for what I already have
taking from the air what is necessary
drinking from the water all that I need
